This year's campout was a bit chilly, and a bit wet at times, but we all had a good time anyway.
The rain showers stayed away while we had our group dinner Saturday evening ...		... a dinner where we all benefited from the barbecue skills of Haig and Cory.

Quite a few young people were at this year's campout. From left to right we have Savannah, Nicholas, Natalie, Emma, Seth, Zachary, Kaitlyn. Molly was perfect in her role as lap-dog, as Carolyn will attest.

Looks like Molly has found someone else's lap to enjoy - Jeremiah's. Natalie, Emma and Savannah enjoy each other's company.

On Saturday, Martha and Holly led a small group of people out to view a very interesting geologic formation of boulders precariously balanced on pinnacles underneath. We at the chapel first saw these during the 2000 Campout when Steve Hayley led us out there.

Cory and Katie smile when posing with Emma and Seth, and even when they did not notice the webmaster's camera pointing their way!

Sarah gets a 'lift' from Jason and Janelle to fasten a tarp on a tree. Ruth and Mark enjoyed a hike up the Tam-A-Lu trail to the rim on Saturday afternoon.

Kaitlyn helps little sister Sophia, and later poses with her dad and mom, Brandon and Jamey.

Haig spoke to the group on Sunday morning about God's creation. Even though it is presently cursed because of sin, it is still very beautiful. Nevertheless, we should not have our hearts set so much on this world that we are not looking to Christ, and for His return. To the other extreme, we should not be dismayed by the presence of sin or sinful people in this world but should be looking instead to God.

Dustin and Andrea appreciated the warmer weather Sunday morning, along with Alicia and Jacob.

One last picture, relating to God's beautiful creation, is of the moon rising over the canyon rim Friday evening.
